Hey pixels!! I made a 3D printing course a couple of months before. I printed a Darth Vader cookie cutter!! So nice! I love Star Wars, and I thought the idea was brilliant. Now, at least, I’ve had enough time to make this awesome cookies. Awesome for the flavour, and for the shape. You don’t eat Darth Vader food shaped every day…
If you don’t have a Darth Vader cookie cutter (I’m not sure, but maybe you can buy one at Amazon or similar), the recipe is yummy enough to make it anyway. Another cookie shape will be awesome, too. May I suggest something related to Easter? A bunny?
Ingredients (make about 50 units using a small-medium mold):
- 500g flour
- 170g butter, at room temperature
- 170g sugar
- 1 egg
- 170ml milk
- 8g baking powder
In a bowl, pour flour and baking powder. Add butter, egg and sugar. Knead, adding milk slowly. Keep kneading until your dough is incorporated. Add more flour if dough is too sticky; I had to add a bit.
Wrap in plastic and put dough in your fridge for at least 60′.
Preheat oven at 170ºC. Knead your dough again. Roll out the cookies on a lightly floured surface. Cut into shapes with the cookie cutter of your choice. Place on the baking sheets 1cm apart. It’s better if you cover your baking sheets with parchment paper.
Bake for 12-15′. Check at minute 12, don’t overcook your beautiful Darth Vaders.
Store them in a closed container; you can keep them for 2-3 days. But, seriously, they won’t last 3 days (everyone will want to try them).
Do you like Star Wars, my happy pixels? And cookies? If the answer is yes, this recipe is perfect for you!! Are you going to make this cookies, even with another shape? Please, let me know in the comments below.
