The Winter Wonderland Tag

Hey pixels!! Winter is here. Since it’s freezing outside, I thought that I would take it light today and do a tag! I originally saw this tag done by Ann in https://annthebookmaster.wordpress.com/ and I just knew I had to do it. I like Winter, and I love reading, so this is my tag!!

Do you like the cold?

I like the weather we have here (Menorca). Unless it’s windy, it’s  not too cold.

Favourite part about Winter?

I have two: Christmas and wearing comfy Winter clothes. The first part is because of the family gatherings, food, presents, and all the pretty Christmas time. The second is because I love wool scarves, mittens, blankets, and this kind of wooly things.

Does it snow where you live?

No, it’s not actual snow. Last time it really snowed it was in the fifties. My mom had 2 years old. I’ve just seen snow once, in a trip to Andorra. Maybe I enjoy Winter just because here it’s not that cold (except 6-8 weeks, now).

Favourite clothing item in Winter?

Comfy and cute clothes, like sweaters, warm cardigans, mittens, scarves, beanies and other warm hats… I love warm clothes, and I’m learning how to knit them. I’m knitting my first sweater, it’s not that easy…

Your favourite Winter memorie?

Christmas memories, specially from childhood. All that emotion, the cute DIY’s at school, the presents, singing, and the most important, having some holidays. Now I feel that happy at the family gatherings, and every time I go into a shop and I hear carols while shopping.

And memories of the travels I’ve made in Winter.

Favourite hot drink?

Wow, what a difficult question. I love tea, and a good coffee with milk (if you doubt how much I enjoy this one, just check my Instagram account). But I think my favourite hot drink on a cold day is a cup of hot chocolate.

Best Winter book to read curled up in a blanket?

I don’t have a special one. I’m always picking  books from the library, and reading new books. The last book I’ve read is Manual para mujeres de la limpieza, by Lucia Berlin.

 

Best Winter movie to watch?

Nightmare before Christmas; I love this one.

Do you do any Winter sports?

Cycling is not a Winter sport. Now the season is barely starting: actually I’m  waiting for it all Winter. (Just a few months for le tour de france)

Favourite Winter/Christmas/New Year tradition?

Our New Year’s Eve tradition is to eat 12 grapes at midnight. That brings good luck. And a traditional board game we play on Christmas Eve. You play using cards and a paper board, everyone play with 2€, and the winner can have all the money. I won a couple of years ago, but it  was the first time in years… I don’t have good luck playing…
