Hey pixels!! Do you want to surprise your guests on Christmas day? Here is a cool way to do it: a snow globe cake!! An edible cake in a glass globe, the perfect treat for Christmas. It’s pretty, isn’t it? Everyone will love it, and they will remember your dessert as memorable.
Did you had a snow globe when you were a child? I had two, and I loved them. I enjoyed so much watching the snow falling over the objects inside the globe. Now we can revisit this memories making a cake. Well, snow isn’t falling, but it’s edible. I think it’s better now.

Ingredients (serves 6):
- 1 cake, baked in a round mold ( I’ve used our eggnog pound cake, baked in a 18cm diameter round mold)
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 tablespoon eggnog
- 1 fish bowl
- some decorations: use your favourite ones; like two silver pine cones and a cyclist 😉
To make the frosting, beat butter until fluffly. Add powdered sugar and eggnog and keep beating until is smooth and spreadable. Set aside.
Slice your cake in two layers. Spread frosting on top of one layer; cover with the second layer.
Frost the top of your cake. Decorate and cover using the fish bowl.
