Hummus & grilled vegetables

Hey pixels, this is the first healthy recipe I’m making this year!! And it’s been more than a week since 2016 has started… this is sad…

Well, at least today we are eating this wonderful, home made hummus. I do not use tahini, since I’m not a big fan of its flavour, but you can add a teaspoon to the recipe if you want.

This cookies on the pictures are quelitas, a kind of savory cookie from Mallorca. But if you don’t have them at home, you could also eat this wonderful hummus with a bit of olive oil bread.



  • 1 can cooked chickpeas (about 215g)
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • juice of 1/2 lemon
  • olive oil
  • salt, black pepper
  • vegetables to grill: you can use your favourite ones; this time mine were: red pepper, green pepper and zucchini



Grill the vegetables of your choice. Set aside, but keep them warm.

Drain the chickpeas.

On your blender, mix the drained chickpeas, garkic, lemon juice, salt and pepper. Add a bit of olive oil and start blending. Continue, adding more oil if necessary, until you reach the desired consistency.

Serve together with the vegetables.
