MY DIY weekend project 15: heart-shaped felt bookmark

Hey pixels, this weekend DIY is for us, book lovers!!! Or as beautiful present to the bookworm in our lifes. Or as a Valentine Day gift, due to its heart shape… It’s not too early to start thinking about that, trust me!!

This is an easy and quick project. It can be done by anyone in less than ten minutes. The materials are so basic and it only requires a basic sewing skills. If you can sew a button you can do this (actually for me it was easier than sewing a button, lol).

I did mine in pink, but you can do your own in your favourite colour. It doesn’t matter. I hope you like it πŸ˜‰

You’ll need:

  • Pink felt
  • Yarn (a colour that matches pink)
  • Needle
  • Scissors
  • Pencil

Directions:

In a corner of the felt, draw the shape of a heart.

Cut. Use this heart to draw another; this way both will be exactly the same size. Cut the second one too.

Sew the hearts together (not the round side).

And that’s it!! Now you can bookmark the page you’re stop reading on a glamourous, stylish way!!!

Do you like reading, my happy pixels? Do you have any creative bookmark? Are you going to make one? Please, let me know in the comments below.
