My weekend DIY project 4: easy stained glass

Hey pixels, today I’m bringing to you one easy and cute hack: how to paint on glass (the easiest way). This trick is really useful because we everyone have a lot of glass stuff at home, and things are always better after you’ve updated them…

Today I’ve painted on a glass bottle, but you can paint over any glass surface: how about a pretty doodle on a mirror, or update your glass Christmas or Halloween decorations?

Oh, did I mention you only need two ingredients to make your own glass paint? And probably you have them at home right now? Glue and gel food coloring, and that’s all!!!! πŸ™‚ It can’t be easiest…

You’ll need:

  • glue
  • gel food coloring
  • brush

Let’s start:

First, be sure your glass stuff is clean. Remove any dust from its surface and, if you’ve used water to clean it, allow to dry.

Mix glue and coloring. I started adding coloring to the glue and mixing it every time, until I got the colour I wanted.

Now it’s time to paint.Β Apply two layers of paint if you consider it necessary. Wait for the paint to dry before applying the second one.

Et voila, your glass objects have a new and bright colour!!! What do you think about my milk bottle? Is cute, isn’t it?

Are you going to try this DIY at home? Please, let me know in the comments below. Or share your own photos if you want πŸ™‚
