My weekend DIY project 2: cord organizers (no sew)

Hey pixels, it’s DIY time!!! This is a super simple and fast project to make, but is also really useful. It not only keeps your cords tangle-free, it also gives them a pop of colour… And it can be made from start to finish in less than 30′, or less if you don’t need to make as many units as I needed. Perfect? I think so…

You’ll need:

  • fabric
  • hot glue gun
  • velcro
  • a pencil or taylor’s chalk (not pictured)

Let’s start:

First of all, cut fabric stripes (mines were 4×16 cm)

Fold and glue; this way they’ll be more resistant

Glue one side to the cord. Be sure you can move the fabric through the cord, it’ll be easier to use later

Glue a piece of velcro on the other side

Roll the cord like you do always. With a pencil or a tailor’s chalk, make a sign where the other half of the velcro should go. Now, unroll again and glue it to the marked place.

And voilΓ , you’re done. You can make all you want, one for each tangled cord!! I’ve made one even for the hot glue gun cord… lol
